Resting Voltage to Charge Level
A rough charge level from a multimeter reading, once the battery has rested.
A battery's voltage at rest gives a rough idea of its charge. It must have had no charging or load for a few hours first. These are typical figures, not your battery's exact chart. Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

What this does and doesn't tell you
- The battery must rest with no charging or load, ideally for several hours, before the reading means much.
- Your battery maker's own chart is better than this typical one.
- Temperature also shifts the reading.
- Work on 240V AC wiring, including inverter outputs and mains inlets, must be done by a licensed electrician. For high-current DC gear, follow the maker's installation manual and have an auto electrician check your work if you're unsure.
