Grid Supply
Charge your battery from mains power at home or at a powered site.
Grid Supply — Charging From Mains Power
When a grid connection is available, mains electricity can keep your battery charged. That might be 240V at a powered campsite, a caravan park, or a power point at home before a trip.
Mains power usually charges a 12V battery through a suitable battery charger, or through an inverter/charger that also charges from mains. The charger needs the right charge profile for your battery type, and it needs enough current to put back what you use.
Any work on 240V AC wiring, including mains inlets and shore-power connections, must be done by a licensed electrician. Explore the guides and tools below to understand how mains charging fits into your system.
