Driving Charge Time Calculator (DC-DC)
How long does the drive to the next camp need to be to refill the battery?
A DC-DC charger charges the auxiliary battery while you drive. This estimates the driving time to put back what you used. Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
1. What you need to put back
Your battery monitor shows this.
Lead-acid charges slower near full.
2. Your charger
For example the fridge.

How it was worked out
What this does and doesn't tell you
- The charger only reaches its full output when the vehicle voltage and cable are good. Long or thin cables reduce it.
- Some smart alternators and hot conditions can lower the charger output.
- Work on 240V AC wiring, including inverter outputs and mains inlets, must be done by a licensed electrician. For high-current DC gear, follow the maker's installation manual and have an auto electrician check your work if you're unsure.
